Arrival & Getting Here

Do I need a car to stay at Podere Conti?

A car is strongly recommended. Podere Conti is set in a rural area of Lunigiana, and having your own vehicle allows you to move freely between the estate, nearby villages, walking trails and the wider region.

Is it possible to arrive by train?

Yes. The nearest train station is Pontremoli, served by regional and intercity trains. Taxi services in Lunigiana are limited, so onward transport should be arranged in advance.

Can you arrange transfers?

On request, we can help organise private transfers from Pontremoli station and from major airports, including Pisa, Milan, Genoa, Bologna, Florence and Bergamo. Availability should be checked in advance.

Is parking available on site?

Yes. Free on-site parking is available for all guests.

Is it possible to arrive by helicopter?

Yes. Podere Conti has suitable landing areas within the estate. Helicopter arrivals are possible strictly by prior arrangement and subject to operational and safety conditions. Technical details are available via our Helipaddy profile, or by contacting us directly.

Yes. Podere Conti welcomes families and offers wide outdoor spaces, gardens and a child-friendly swimming pool area. The rural setting allows children to explore nature freely, while remaining close to shared areas.

Are pets allowed?

Yes. Pets are welcome at Podere Conti at no extra charge. As this is a working rural estate, we ask that dogs are kept under control in shared areas and around farm animals.

Is Podere Conti suitable for guests with reduced mobility?

Several ground-floor rooms are suitable for guests with reduced mobility and offer step-free access. Shared areas, including the restaurant, are also accessible. If you have specific requirements, we recommend contacting us in advance so we can advise on the most suitable accommodation.

Restaurant & Dining

Yes. Children are welcome, and child-friendly meal options are available.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

We can accommodate many dietary requirements with advance notice. Please let us know your needs when booking so we can advise accordingly.

Experiences & Activities

Are experiences included in the stay?

Experiences at Podere Conti are not structured as a programme and are not included by default. Some moments arise naturally from daily life on the estate, while others may be available at specific times of year.

Do I need to book experiences in advance?

Some experiences, such as cooking-related or guided activities, require advance planning and are subject to availability. We recommend contacting us as early as possible if you are interested, so we can advise on what may be possible during your stay.

Are activities guided or scheduled?

Most experiences are informal, optional and shaped by season and circumstance rather than fixed schedules. Podere Conti is not an activity resort, but a place where experiences emerge organically.

What is there to do nearby?

The surrounding region offers walking, cycling, cultural sites and day trips to the Ligurian coast, Versilia and nearby historic towns. Guests are free to explore independently, with suggestions shared during the stay.

Practical Matters

Is the swimming pool open all year?

The swimming pool is generally open from late spring to early autumn, weather permitting.

Is Podere Conti open year-round?

Yes. Podere Conti is open throughout the year.

Do you have air conditioning?

Air conditioning is available in the restaurant sala. Guest rooms do not have air conditioning and are equipped with ceiling fans. The historic stone buildings have very thick walls, which naturally keep rooms cool in summer. Combined with the estate’s open position, natural air circulation and cooler nights, this provides a comfortable indoor climate throughout the season.

Do you host weddings or private events?

Yes. Podere Conti hosts weddings and a wide range of private events, including celebrations, retreats, group holidays and gatherings. Events are carefully curated and hosted selectively to ensure they align with the character of the estate.
