I was present when my son Nolan Hodapp married Ariel Christensen in the beautiful Country of Italy! We are from the U.S., Minnesota. The wedding venue was Podere Conti. Eight members of our family, including my seven-month-old grandson, travelled to Italy.
One is always a bit anxious regarding venues never visited before, especially when a wedding is to be held. As the mother of the groom and future mother-in-law, I was hoping it was everything my son and his bride were envisioning. We were far from home and very aware glitches and problems would not be easily "fixed'. We need not have been concerned. We arrived and were greeted as family. It was beautiful!
Cornelia was a gracious and kind owner, host and organizer.
Her estate and the manner in which she has designed it, her expert food preparation, attention to ambiance, plate design and color, just amazing! She was always available, full of information and advice, so gracious and tolerant of wedding plans and such. She made sure luxury and elegance were at the forefront.
I feel as if the whole experience were a dream. It gave me pause, thinking I should get married again just to re-experience this as a bride. Well, maybe not, but certainly a place worth visiting again and again.
My son and bride did this right, better than right, perfectly!
