SEASIDE

Podere Conti is 30km from the coast, between Liguria and the coastal villages  of Cinque Terra to the north and the sandy beaches of Versilia to the south. 

Cinque Terre

Distance from Podere Conti: 45 min direction La Spezia 

 

Cinque Terre is made up of the 5 fishing villages, Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore and the 18km of coastal walks along the old mule-tracks between them, the most famous of which is the Via dell’Amore (Walk of Love). 

Porto Venere

Distance from Podere Conti: 40 min direction La Spezia 

 

Just south of Cinque Terre and jointly designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

 

Catch a ferry to the Cinque Terre, swim at Byron’s Bay or visit one of the islands Palmaria, Tino or Tinetto

Lerici

from Podere Conti: 30 min direction Sarzana 

 

Part of the Italian Riviera situated on the Gulf of La Spezia otherwise known as Gulf of the Poets as was the home of Mary & Percy Shelley (who drowned there) who hosted Lord Byron (famous for his long swim across the Gulf). Lerici has a long public beach and attractive promenade.  

Tellaro Fiascherino

Distance from Podere Conti: 40 min direction Sarzana 

 

Named as one of the top 100 most beautiful hamlets in Italy, Tellaro is just south of Lerici and together with its neighbouring village 

Fiascherino are just as beautiful, albeit less touristy, than the Cinque Terre.

Viareggio

Distance from Podere Conti: 45 min direction Pisa 

 

In addition to being known as a seaside tourist town, Viareggio is famous for its Carnival 

every Saturday in February and the first Saturday of March and the Pucini Festival during July and August.
